Instead of spending money on cheap stainless steel underwater lights, you should choose LT TECH underwater light. It is solid brass with glass lens. It is o-ringed in the right places. The cord is sufficient length. You need to wire this directly to your transformer. Used together with our IP65 MR16, the performance is excellent, warm, and bright. This is a great addition to our yard and pond!
Using a screwdriver, loosen the lock screws and remove the lens assembly from the fixture body.

Install Lamp
Insert the lamp with the correct wattage and type as marked on the fixture label. CAUTION: Do not exceed the maximum wattage marked on the luminaire label. NOTE: DO NOT touch the lamp with bare hands. Use a soft cloth to handle the lamp.

Install Lens Assembly
Place the lens assembly back onto the fixture body and secure it with lock screws. Tighten until snug with a screwdriver.

Position the Fixture Body in the Desired Location
Using the slots on the fixture base, mark the two mounting points. Using the marks, drill holes and insert the anchors. Place the fixture body onto the anchors. Pass the washers over the mounting screws and thread the mounting screws into the anchors to secure the fixture body. Hand tightens until snug with a screwdriver.
What IP Rating is Needed for Underwawter Lighting
IP68, if you are looking for a fixture to illuminate water features, ponds or swimming pools, you will need to install light fixtures with IP68 rating, it will ensure your underwater lighting is adequately waterproofed.
